I entered into an agreement with the publisher in July 2001 in a bold venture to write a set of 2 textbooks for the then new HKCEE subject Word Processing and Business Communication.

Working on a part-time basis, I completed Book 1 in November 2001, after which I nearly wanted to give up. As the publisher was new into the Secondary school market, I did everything on my own, including editing, page layout, and graphic design.

I finally finished Book 2 in another 3 months and submitted the blueprints to the Education Department for approval, which was granted. The books have been used since 2002 in a number of schools offering the subject and also in some VTC courses.

To me, it was a great challenge to take on the project and a great accomplishment completing it.-------------------------------------------------------------------------
